We are thrilled to share some incredible news — Camping Veliko Tarnovo has been named one of The Guardian’s “20 of Europe’s Most Beautifully Located Campsites”!
The Guardian published the article on 5th April 2025. It highlights our stunning setting in central Bulgaria and celebrates the peaceful beauty of our site. The article also highlights our swimming pool at dusk — captured in Yoana Yordanova’s photo used by The Guardian — with the valley bathed in soft pink light. The article describes it perfectly: “A Pool with a View.”

Beautiful Bulgaria
This recognition from The Guardian and from Pitchup is a fantastic accolade. It’s not just great for us, but for camping in Bulgaria as a whole. It’s the first time a Bulgarian campsite features in their list of Europe’s most beautifully-located sites. We’re proud to fly the flag! We hope this is just the beginning. In the future we expect many more of Bulgaria’s stunning campsites will gain the international recognition they deserve. We also hope that campers will choose to travel to discover the great campsite network that is being created in Bulgaria.
