There are several sport fishing spots that are only a cast away! They are close to the campsite (less than 15 minutes drive) and local fishermen like to fish there. You can fish by the day for a small fee.

“Sveta Gora” Sport Fishing Lake

“Sveta Gora” Lake is a great place for fishing in Veliko Tarnovo. It is located on the right side of the main road E772, right on exit from Veliko Tarnovo, towards Varna. There is always live fish available. Additionally, this place is ideal for sports fishing of Russian Sturgeon, Sturgeon Beluga, White Amur, Lynn, Carp, Som (Welsh catfish), Veslonos (American paddlefish) and Tolstolob (Silver carp).

“Patarnika” Sport Fishing Lake

Also “Patarnika” Lake is a private lake, near Lyaskovets city, which is about 9 km from the campsite. There is a fee that must be paid in order to go fishing there. It is great for sports fishing.

Other Places

There is a small lake on the right side of the main road E772, direction Veliko Tarnovo towards Varna. It is located about 7 km from the Campsite. There is a fee that must be paid in order to go fishing there.

River Fishing

Another option for fishing are the local rivers, but fishing permits must be issued for this purpose. The most famous rivers for fishing in the area are Yovkovtsi river and Yantra river. If you need to buy a fishing permit then ask in Reception and we can organise for someone to meet you and buy the permit. There will be a small tax for this service.
