Etar Ethnographic Museum
Etar Ethnographic Museum is great fun and educational too! Here you can find out about traditional Bulgarian arts and crafts and investigate the water driven equipment powered by the river which winds its way through the beautiful grounds of the museum.
There is a full programme of events throughout the year, including opportunities to learn a craft such as pottery, weaving, metalwork, wood-carving and baking. There are also some lovely restaurants, so you can enjoy traditional Bulgarian cuisine in an authentic and shady setting.
Etar Ethnographic Museum is about 40 minutes drive from the campsite and makes a great sightseeing day trip if you combine it with a visit to Dryanovo Monastery, Bojentsi Village or Shipka Pass. It is also a great place to stop for a break if your holiday itinerary take you over the Shipka Pass to the south of Bulgaria.
