Starting 1st January 2026, Bulgaria officially adopts the Euro! This exciting change means that this coming camping season, Camping Veliko Tarnovo will be operating in Euros. This will make life a little easier for our international guests. For many of our visitors from Eurozone countries, this means no more worrying about exchange rates or currency conversions. Your holiday planning just got simpler.

In addition to the Euro, Bulgaria is joining the Schengen area this year. For campers traveling from other Schengen countries, this means smoother, frictionless travel. Border checks are minimized, and your journey to Veliko Tarnovo can be more relaxed and stress-free.

At Camping Veliko Tarnovo, we want to make the transition as seamless as possible. Our prices will be listed in both Euros and Bulgarian Lev (BGN) until June, so you can easily see your options. While our online booking system will go live in the spring, all reservations will reflect the Euro pricing to keep things straightforward once the season opens on 1st May 2026.
